Boundary Channel Drive Trail

VDOT’s project to redesign the interchange on Boundary Channel Drive will result in a new trail connecting Long Bridge Drive to the Mount Vernon Trail. Other changes include:

  • Reducing Boundary Channel Drive from four lanes to two in order to construct a ten-foot-wide sidewalk along eastbound Boundary Channel Drive and a ten-foot-wide shared-use path along westbound Boundary Channel Drive
  • Installing roundabouts on Boundary Channel Drive just west and east of I-395
  • Reconfiguring the ramps between I-395 and Boundary Channel Drive
  • Adding crosswalks along Boundary Channel Drive

Boundary Channel Drive Trail Connection Plans Are Much Improved
